There many beautiful and big cities in Ukrainian. But any big and nice city can’t replace me my native town. My native town is Soledar. Here I was born and live with my parents now.
This town is very small, but it is wonderful in its own way. I love it so much, because it is my little Motherland. I don’t understand people, who don’t love their native land. It does not matter, whether you live in a big noisy city or a little town, like Soledar. You must love place, where you were born.
Soledar is situated in the East of Ukraine, in Donetsk region. And it is famous for mines, like many other cities in Donbass. But this mines aren`t coal. We have great salt mines. All our history is based on salt and its production. Salt, which is mined in Soledar, is used all over the world. So my town has a large importance for Ukraine.
But life in a small town is not always good, I think. We haven`t any cinemas, big parks, little cafes, in which we can relax and drink a cup of hot tea or coffee. And it is a big disadvantage - lack of entertainment.
Also in Soledar every person knows each other. From my point of view, it is much more interesting to live in a big city, because you have more opportunities to meet new people.
Anyway, Soledar has its own advantages. Like clean air, without large amount of exhaust gases. So, I can say, that my town is «green»! Also, I can say that Soledar is very cozy . I can`t imagine my life in a huge city now, where people have a crazy rhythm of life. They always hurry somewhere and don`t notice the beauty of world, and I don`t like it.
My Soledar is the only place in the world, where I feel protected and confident. May be, it`s because I live here with my parents and close people. But anyway I think, that in any city I wouldn`t feel so good.
To sum up, love your hometown - your little Motherland and always remember that «East or West home is best!»
