I want to tell about my native town Soledar. There I was born and live at present. Soledar is situated in Donetsk region in Ukraine. It is a very small town but it is very important because we produce salt.

We know that Academician Karpinski found salt in our region and the workers began to mine salt in the 30th of the 19th century. The association annually produces and turns over 2 mln tons of salt to consumers. The experience of using workings of salt mines is known to the association and the world practice.

Soledar consists not only of the mines. In town also has one of the best Sports Complexes in the Donetsk region. In it there is a swimming pool, a gym, and there are a lot of sections, such as volleyball, football, basketball, etc. In Soledar operates three schools, libraries, cafes, night club "Caprice", park, music school. There are some monuments is our town: the monument to Karpinski, the monument to Unknown Soldiers, the monument to the soldiers who perished in Afganistan.
I love my city. It's very good, because good and helpful people live here. Maybe when I finish school, I will go to another city, but I know for sure that I will never forget it, and I will be happy to come here. I'm sure you will enjoy Soledar.
